Publishing

ur publishing team works with a wide range of external specialists in researching and developing new publications. These include authors, teachers, curriculum specialists, subject specialists, editors, designers, instructional designers, programmers, illustrators, type compositors and proofreaders. We are constantly looking for persons with these skills to join us in the ongoing effort to develop relevant, curriculum-based educational materials to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness.

Our personnel also offer textbook consultancy services. Only recently the Publishing manager, Dorothy Noel was invited to be Textbook Development Consultant and Facilitator at a training workshop in the development of textbooks in Belize. In addition, we participate as presenters in training workshops for teachers.

Authors:

At every level of the educational system, teachers are Carlong's critical resource partners. We encourage, utilize and hone the skills and talents of our Caribbean teachers, as writers, reviewers, text development consultants and users of our publications.

We invite our teachers to expand their role as teachers beyond the desk to the text, and develop their skills as authors. Carlong would be proud to welcome more teachers to our author team in the ongoing process of developing excellent, curriculum-relevant publications, designed to improve the quality of teaching and learning.
