Carlong Principles of Business for CSEC® - 2nd Edition is the revision of Carlong’s very successful Carlong Principles of Business for CSEC® With SBA, Study Guide & Exercises. This revised publication provides full coverage of the topics in the latest CSEC® Principles of Business syllabus and presents the content in a relatable manner to the students. The SBA, as well as exciting videos explaining theories and concepts, will be presented online via Carlong’s Learning Portal.

This edition retains the strengths and main features of the previous edition. The book is geared towards students who would like to develop the necessary competencies, attitudes and skills to be successful in a business environment.

This book is designed as a two-year programme to help students understand and prepare for the CSEC® Principles of Business examination. It is also structured for self-study so that our students are engaged in active learning.
The questions throughout the text are set at the examination level to challenge the students and adequately prepare them for the examination. Where it is necessary to explain certain business concepts, additional material has been provided beyond what is required by the syllabus.

While the focus of the book is on the examination, it is an important part of the education of the students for life in the real world. The reorganization of the syllabus has been thoroughly addressed in this new edition with comprehensive treatment given to the new section on ‘Logistics and Supply Chain’. Other sections have been totally revamped and some topics from previous chapters have been moved to other sections where they are more relevant.
