KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare the annual warehouse budget and control expenditure; analyze variances and initiate correction.
• Manage the receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programmes, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security/surveillance procedures and protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system/procedures. Ensure accurate records are maintained on the system.
• Maintain the physical condition standards of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repairs and maintenance of warehouse equipment and requisition for replacements.
• Document and implement new distribution policies and practices in the department’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Manual and ensure that all warehouse personnel are familiar with the changes.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and liaise with in-house leads from the various departments.
• Assisting in recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
• Manage warehouse staff job performance by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies/Inventory/Business Administration majoring in Operations Management or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position.

SPECIFIC SKILL/COMPETENCIES

• Working knowledge of budget preparation and management
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Operations and Inventory Control Management.
• Working knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Policies/Regulations.
• Strong managerial skills
• Good communication, interpersonal negotiations and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Sound business acumen
• Integrity and professionalism
• Excellent logical reasoning, numerical and technical skills
