In order to develop the knowledge, skills and positive attitudes of the team, whilst enhancing the company's competitiveness, flexibility and responsiveness to a constantly changing environment, Carlong places great emphasis on creating a learning culture. To that end, our partnership in the education process is inclusive of consulting and working with a cadre of professionals and training organizations to expose our team to a wide range of skills and knowledge.

Our external environment is undergoing major and rapid change and Carlong is conscious that our Human Resource Management needs to be responsive to that dynamism. With that understanding, Carlong places particular emphasis on our ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally, in order to satisfy our customers and remain competitive. The acquisition, training and use of technology is therefore central to our Human Resource development programme.

Carlong with its 37-member team and adjunct professionals, managing a tri-function operation of publishing, marketing, sales and distribution is in transition from a small to medium-sized company. The Human Resource Management team is led by Managing Director, Shirley Carby and includes two administrators, at Carlong's Ruthven Road office.
